David Tennant and Billie Piper appeared together at Comic Con Philly yesterday in a well received 45 minute panel where the duo spoke on their time together on Doctor Who. The appearance was the second for Tennant and first for Billie.

In an apt question, David proclaimed that he had learned how to deal with fame through Billie, the former Rose Tyler having had a successful pop career prior to her move in acting and went as far as to suggest that she would even make a good female Doctor herself!

Speaking on the show itself, David proclaimed that the show was much bigger than either of them, not just a show he liked but an entire lifestyle. He would have liked to have worked with Patrick Troughton in the role if he could have worked with any Doctor, Billie choosing Paul McGann.. (maybe one day!).

Billie’s favourite costume from her time on the show as featured in The Idiot’s Lantern.

In the almost obligatory monster question, David highlighted the Daleks as the most “real” on set, but how he enjoyed working with Davros in The Stolen Earth/Journey’s End.

Asked whether they had ever… removed (alright, stolen!) anything from the set, Billie revealed she’d taken a lot home with her, including Margaret Slitheen’s ring… David proclaimed he had never fingered anyone’s ring!

Keeping the tone, Tennant also revealed how he wasn’t allowed to choose his sonic screwdriver but Matt smith was, meaning that Matt’s was much bigger than Davids! oo-er!
