Originally known as Doctor Who Archive, DWW was conceived as a resource of historical information such as news articles, clippings and so forth in the summer of 2013, an endeavour to lead into the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who in November. DWA changed its basis to cover news, opinions, reviews on the current and classic series of Doctor Who in October of the same year and gained a quick following.
On January 1, 2014 DWA became Doctor Who Worldwide as part of a major site overhaul and rebranding as we also saw the launch of the DWW Forum – The Panopticon.
On May 15, 2015 DWW underwent a second overhaul with the implementation of new features sitewide to give the website a modern look and functions.
DWW seeks to act as an independent voice for Doctor Who fans, giving the news you won’t find elsewhere, rumours and gossip, the many varying opinions of fans around the globe and freedom for fans to express themselves at a major level.
This show has run for over 50 years, its fans are many a varied and DWW hopes this website can be seen to be representative of every fan and opinion.
We welcome all correspondence and submissions of news, artwork, articles, corrections or information etc and encourage you to E-Mail us via the contact section at the bottom of each page or speak to one of our admins in the DWW forums.
